With over 25 years of human resources experience in employee relations, recruiting and training, as well as extensive caregiving experience, Steve is
able to interview and choose only the caregivers who he knows will be professional and caring. All caregivers are carefully screened upon hiring and
before being sent on any assignments. Criminal and sex offender background checks are run on all caregivers. If transportation is involved in the
assignment, the caregiver's driving record is pulled and reviewed. All potential caregiver credentials are checked through the Nurses' Aid registry,
and the Employee Misconduct Registry is checked through the Department of Aging and Disability Services to make sure there have been no problems
with abuse, neglect, or exploitation. References are also checked and upon joining the company, an I-9 is performed. Before being assigned to care
for the patient, the caregiver is interviewed by the patient and/or the family. This is to make sure that the caregiver and the assignment are a
match. Supervision of the caregivers is a multidimensional process including home visits, the completion of the "How Are We Doing Form" by
customers, and reviews of the "Time and Task Sheets" to make sure the care is consistent with the client's Individual Service Plan.
